1.5 LPM AP Fanning Kit

This 1.5 LPM AP Fanning Kit features a 1.5 LPM single-outlet Air Pump, 24″ air hose, 0.22um Filter, 1/4″ grommet and 10m of micropore tape.  The 1.5 LPM AP Fanning Kit can be used to bring a fresh constant oxygen stream into your mushroom system. Recommended for up to 32 Quart/Liter mushroom fruiting chambers. Every hour this pump outputs 90 liters of air. That replaces the air in a 32 Quart chamber about 3x per hour!

Growing mushrooms in a manual kit requires you to fan the kit at minimum once per day. This helps remove stale moist CO2 rich air with fresh clean oxygen rich air. While mushrooms are triggered by the addition of light the the system, mushrooms grow all the time. This means once the mushrooms pin they grow during the day and night. So they utilize oxygen to grow all the time, not just when the lights are on or when you fan them. If you are to maximize yields, in whatever system you are fruiting in, the fanning system is ideal for oxygen intake and CO2 being exhausted. This also helps push out stale stagnate air and helps stop the process of contamination.

While it is rare to contaminate after colonization, this doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Utilizing an automated fanning system can help this. While fanning a kit once daily can work, it doesn’t mean the mushrooms will have enough oxygen daily to maximize their yields.

Tools Required:

3/8″ drill bit, and drill.

Installation Directions:

• Simply drill a 3/8″ hole in the top left-hand corner of the left side of your fruiting chamber.
• Insert the 1/4″ grommet into the hole. Feed your air hose into the unit at least 1″ into the chamber.
• Insert the filter into the hose on the inside of the chamber with the threaded end in the hose.
• Now place the hose still on the outside if the kit into the air pump.
• On the opposite end of the chamber, right side, drill 3x 3/8″ holes directly in the center of the chamber about 5″ from the top of the chamber. Space each hole about 1/2″ apart from each other.
• Now cut 2x pieces of the micropore tape and cover the holes on the inside and outside of the chamber. This will stop contaminates from getting into the chamber and are actually the vent holes.
• Now place your lid onto your chamber and plug your air pump in!

Psilly Note: Replace micropore tape on vent holes every 3-6 grows. Inside hose filter should be replaced every 3-6 grows as well to ensure full air flow. Replacement filters can be found (here)!
